Upcoming Theatre Projects
Museum of Dysfunction XI
Since 2008, Mildred’s Umbrella Theatre Company has celebrated the dark, quirky, and absurd with a collection of short pieces submitted by emerging and established playwrights. For the 11th annual short play festival, the company is revisiting their favorites from the last ten years in a “Best of” edition of MUSEUM OF DYSFUNCTION, featuring many of the original directors and casts.
Commissioned by The Landing Theatre Company, Override is the fourth of their celebrated micro theatre plays, written specifically for the homes they are performed in.
Override is a sci-fi romantic comedy that deals with the inventor of a machine which can emulate human touch. It's a potent reminder about the power of contact through the body, heart, and mind.

Tooth & Tail
Tooth & Tail is a fantastic swashbuckler that explores the dynamics of female friendship and love. When Princess Plumeria is kidnapped, Vixen LaFey and her dragon Flicker are determined to rescue her – and bring her home for the reward money. But along the way, they must face pirates, a witch who won’t stop rhyming, curses, and monsters of all kinds. Their combined strengths, loyalties, and magics are tested to the hilt. From the dazzling dangers of the forests, to the deep rivalry between Vixen and Pirate Captain Jessica Glass, Tooth & Tail is a heartwarming theatrical feast.
Commissioned by Mildred’s Umbrella, this play will finally receive its world premiere in the Spring of 2020. Directed by Rob Kimbro. Ticket link to follow soon!
